Triple-Double for Wood
That JeremiahWood was a dominant player in Finland..
.. we all knew after his outstanding 2008-2009 campaign with Joensuun Kataja. One thing Wood didn't accomplish last year, despite leading his team to the Finals, was to perform a triple-double. That happened tonight for Wood's new team Kauhajoki. The PF had an incredible outing, with 18 points (8/13 FG), 18 rebounds and 10 assists in 36 minutes against last years champions Namika Lahti. Wood now leads the league in both rebounding (14.5 a game) and as a PF also leads the league in assists (5.1 a game), adding to that he is also scoring 19.1 points on 62% shooting! Kauhajoki won tonights game after Woods impressive outing, but Wood also got help from teammate and fellow Court Side client Reggie Golson who scored 24 points, along with 4 boards and 4 steals. On the loosing side, league leading scorer Ricky Hickman improved his average by scoring 27 points, and with Ray Nixon adding 21 points and 12 boards - but that wasn't enough as tonights Court Side battle was won by Wood and Golson, as Kauhajoki won the game 113-89.
