| Wingate and Holmes dominating

.. inside Court Side clients in Romania last night as Major Wingate and Sidney Holmes were key players for their teams. Wingate, a former University of Tennessee starting center, made a huge impact in Targu Mures as the local team managed to beat the second team in the league Timisoara by 10 points (87-77). Two alley-oops in the first quarter made him the crowd favorite and gave his team a lot of confidence on an impressive 24-8 start. Till halftime Timisoara managed to get back into the game and took the lead by 5 with the help of the outside shooting but the next two quarters were under the local's team total control and BC Mures obtained a precious victory. Wingate was in the middle of Saturday's night action and also the main candidate for the "play of the day" in the Romanian first division as he dunked the ball after a 360 degrees spin in the air which made everyone crazy in the gym. He finished the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocked shots, 1 steal, 3 turnovers. The other Court Side client, Sidney Holmes from SCM Craiova had an impressive night too in a losing effort as he finished the game from Sibiu with 13 points and 15 rebounds (career high in Romania). Holmes is the 5th rebounder of the league in just 24 minutes per game and he added in the Sibiu game 2 assists and 4 steals to go with his productive night. Wingate cannot be ranked because of insuficient games played but his average of 9,5 rpg in 6 games played would have placed him in the top 3 rebounders of the Romanian league.
