| Schultze drops 26 in losing effort
Tonight, on the road, Sven Schultze showed..
.. again why he is so dangerous. In 33 minutes against Panionios Sven scored a game high 26 points shooting the lights out! Four for seven two pointers and five for seven three pointers. This is nothing new. Ever since the 208 cm German national team member joined Olympia Larisa in the Greek league he has been on a tear. In just 310 minutes playing he has amassed 177 points, which ranks him 10th in the league. The only player in the top 10 who played less minutes is Josh Childress from Olympiacos who ranks 8th with 183 points in just under 300 minutes playing time. Seven of the other players in the top 10 have played around 400 minutes so far, or much more (William Avery 440 minutes). Taking a look at Sven's overall stats one sees he accumulates those points very effectively. The first half of the season is over with today's game and in those 13 games he has shot 61% two's (27/44), 52% three's (32/61), and 77% free throws (27/35). Of course Sven rebounds and defends as well which leads to a tendex of 0.49 per minute played. Unfortunately tonights efforts were not enough. Sven and his Larisa teammates lost 70-64 to the Greek Euroleague team.
