Antwerp Giants qualifies
Antwerp Giants has qualified themselves..
.. for the stage in the EuroChallenge competition by beating visiting BC Minsk: 89-80 (49-39). Both teams had a draw last week, 87-all, in the capital city of Belarus and in the return game it became another close battle as well. The Belgian squad team secured the victory in the final minute, which started at 84-80, and had 5 players in double figures at the end. Combo-forward Darnell Wilson was the leading scorer for Antwerp Giants squad being responsible for 17 points (6 for 9 from the floor, including 1 for 1 from behind the arc) and 5 rebounds. The team of Belgian head coach Eddy Casteels will start vs Lokomotiv Kuban from Russia at home on November 16 in the group game series.
