| Marcus Jackson joins Weert
American big man Marcus Jackson has signed a..
.. contract that will send him to Holland to play for Weert for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. Weert first spotted Jackson in action at the Court Side Pro Camp in Frankfurt in 2007, but at that time Marcus ended up signing with swedish club Plannja Basket, who he did very well for in pre-season and first 5 games of the regular season before a season ending injury occured (Tore ACL). Jackson have spent the last 8 months rehabbing his knee as well as becoming a first-time father last week, and is now ready to again play pro basketball. Weert will be the 4th stop the 204 cm tall and 110 kg heavy Jackson's career after spending time in Germany (Hagen), Finland (Componenta) and Sweden (Plannja) after graduating from Marquette University in 2005.
