Mons wins in Nancy
Dutch center Peter van Paassen was responsible..
.. for 17 points (at 87,5%) in the road win of Dexia Mons-Hainaut at SLUC Nancy, 79-82, in France. The Group H landscape has changed dramatically the past few weeks. Nancy had been 3-0 but now have a 3-2 record with both Dexia and Oostende, 72-70 winners at Entente Orleanaise on this evening. Ronald Lewis was the leading scorer for the visitors with 18 points. Dexia square off against Oostende next week, the winner will qualify for the "Sweet 16" while Nancy will go up against already eliminated Orleans. Israelian head Arik Shivek had his team trailing by 8 points during the third quarter. But Mons clawed their way back and knotted the contest at 64-64 at the end of the frame on a three-point play by Lewis. Nancy went back in front by four but Dexia continued to come back and secured the important road victory at the end.
