Van Paassen goes to Dexia Mons-Hainaut
Dutch center Peter van Paassen will be..
.. .. playing for Dexia Mons-Hainaut this upcoming 2010-'11 season. The 211 cm Van Paassen has a contract with Eiffel Towers/Den Bosch in The Netherlands until May 2013 but the Dutch team agreed on terms to allow him to "be loaned" to the Belgium squad. At Mons he will be reunited with Israeli head coach Arik Shivek, who he worked very succesfully with in the past in Amsterdam. Van Paassen recorded 11,3 ppg (54,0% FG) and 6,0 rpg in 23 minutes per outing this past season in his 1st season for Eiffel Towers. His experience on the floor will be a very important asset for his new team. The "lefty", who came out of St. Bonaventure U. in 2001 and played in Belgium (Oostende), Spain (Melilla) and Holland (Den Helder, Amsterdam, Den Bosch) since then, is known for his smart way of play and everything else that comes with it.
