.. first place in the ranking of the Belgian championship by beating Dexia Mons-Hainaut on the road: 76-87 (45-42). The home team took a small lead in the first period, 25-21, but Charleroi hold on the the 2nd quarter, 20-22: 45-42. The third quarter was the key of the game. The visitors were able to stop Dexia Mons-Hainaut, which qualified for the FIBA Euroleague Final Four on Cypruss (April 18 - 20) recently, while scoring 21 points themselves. The result was a 9-21 score for the third period: 54-64. Both parties stayed close to eachother on the last period (22-23) and Charleroi secured the important road victory. Tremmell Darden was the leading scorer for Charleroi, scoring 15 points (6 for 11) in 26 minutes. Charleori has a 17-7 record now, Bree in 2nd place follows being 17-6 while Mons-Hainaut (16-8), Telindus/Oostende (16-7) and Liege (15-7) are following very closely.
