Kauhajoki, newcomers in the Finnish League, who..
..are currently struggling with a 1-15 record, have made two signings to help them turn things around. They have signed contracts with american PF/C Jeremiah Wood, who last year was named Center of the Year in the league after leading his team Kataja to the finals in the playoffs. Wood averaged 18.9 ppg and 12.5 rpg (2nd in the league) shooting 58% from the floor. Along with Wood, another Court Side player will also join the team of Kauhajoki this week, Reggie Golson, has inked his name to a contract. The combo-forward has spent most of his career in Germany since coming out of SE Missouri State in 2005, but he also spent time in France and Australia. Golson and Wood will be counted on heavilly on both sides of the floor to help the team turn around their record and help them stay in the top league in Finland - the Korisliiga. Wood is expected in Finland on Thursday and Golson should arrive Friday, and both players are expected to be on the court for their new team on Saturday at home against Korihait.
