Thomas Soltau comes to Giants
Thomas Soltau has agreed terms with..
.. .. West-Brabant Giants in The Netherlands. The Danish power forward will replace Durelle Brown who is leaving the team due to private reasons. The versatile starter of the national team of Danmark was MVP at the camp of Court Side this summer in Frankfurt. He played in the NCAA (Northwestern U.), Italy (Benetton Treviso), Germany (Leverkusen, Grevenbroich), Iceland (Keflavik), Sweden (Norrkoping Dolphins) and this past season in his home country for Naestved where he was averaging 20,5 ppg (57,1% FG) and 7,5 rpg. Giants head coach Erik Braal is looking for a combo forward who is capable to play inside-out, able to shoot from outside and to rebound as well. Soltau is normally fitting the profile and has until November 18 - throughout 3 league games in total, to show his abilities before the final decision will be taken for the remainder of the season.
