Chuck Eidson takes MVP Crown!

.. has been honored as the Eurocup MVP. The American guard helped fire Lietuvos Rytas in his second season with them into the Final Eight of the Eurocup which will be played in Turin, Italy, this coming weekend. The 28-year-old South Carolina native, showed his versatility in the "Sweet 16" by playing as the team’s primary ball-handler and ended the season with an index rating of 21.9 per game! Eidson, the seventh-leading scorer in the Eurocup (15.88 points per game) ranked in the top 10 in several other categories. He was second in steals with an average of two per game. He also averaged 17 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in the "Sweet 16". The former South Carolina graduate (2003) will be on show when Lietuvos Rytas take on Benetton Treviso on April 2 in one of the Eurocup Quarter-Finals. Thursday’s other game sees David Blatt’s Dynamo Moscow go up against Hemofarm Stada. On Friday, Pamesa Valencia take on Sergio Scariolo’s BC Khimki and iurbentia Bilbao square off against Zadar. In the past the 6'7 guard played for Giessen (Germany) and Strasbourg (France).
