Milan Minic to coach Rostov
Lokomotiv Rostov will be coached..
.. by Milan Minic for the remainder of this running season. The Serbian Minic, who just turned 52 this past Christmas Eve, brings great knowledge and experience to the Rostov bench. As a head coach he has turned two programs around in the past. He came in in 2001 and turned a struggling Aris Thesaloniki into a Play-Off team and did the same with Cologne the year after. In Cologne he lost in 5 games against eventual champion Frankfurt but had beaten the same team in the German Cup final to bring Cologne its first titel. In other functions and with other teams Milan Minic has won the Euroleague, the Korac Cup, 3 Greek Cups, and with the Yugoslavian/Serbian national team the European Championship (twice) and the World Championship. With his new team Minic will try to improve on the current 6th place in the Russian league standings as well as the 0-2 record in group D of the EuroCup.
