Eurochallenge "Sweet 16"
In the final round of the Eurochallenge first group..
.. stage, which started with 32 teams, the "Sweet 16" became clear. In a head-to-head Belgian battle for progression from Group H, BC Oostende came through in the final quarter against Dexia Mons-Hainaut to book their place by winning the group: 75-67. Because of an incredible come back of Orleans against Nancy (92-90), also Dexia qualified for the "Sweet 16". The second group stage stage will start on Tuesday January 18, 2011, with the following groups: Spartak St. Petersburg, Barak Natanya, Lukoil Academic and Maccabi Haifa (Group I), Antwerp Giants, Karsiyaka Izmir, Novo Mesto and Dexia Mons-Hainaut (Group J), Prostejov, BC Oostende, Lokomotic Kuban and Zadar (Group K), Gravelines, Norrköping, Ventspils and Benfica (Group L). The number 1 & 2 of each Group will qualify for the Final 8.
