Robin Smeulders and EWE Baskets Oldenburg..
.. agreed terms on a multi year deal. The 208 cm Dutch big man was born in Germany and was thought the game there before going to the States to attend Portland University. There Robin averaged 12.3 ppg and 6.3 rpg his senior and graduated right afterwards six weeks ago. During the past few years Robin has played for the Dutch national youth teams (U18 and U20) and is expected to join the senior team mid July. Oldenburg coach Predrag Krunic had invited Robin to stop by in Oldenburg for a short work out and a long talk. They hit it off nicely which resulted in the agreement. Robin is expected to get his German passport within the next two months.
