..Spain on the the first game day of the World Championships in Turkey: 72-66 (27-28). The 201 cm small forward, who is under contract with Asvel for this season, played excellent. He did extremely well in defense and was very solid on the offensive end as well. The versatile forward showed his high and well-known basketball IQ and his decision making gave France the opportunity to upset Spain in front of 7.200 spectators in Izmir. He did end the game with 16 pts (4/6 2-pts, 2-4 3-pts, 2-2 FT), 6 rebounds (3 offensives) and 1 assist. France will play Lebanon tomorrow for first place in Group D. Lebanon started the WC also with a victory, vs Canada.
