Bryant Markson Signs with Court Side
Top rising talent, 25-year old Bryant..
..Markson, with two seasons in Israel and Greece under his belt, has signed an exclusive representation contract with Court Side. Markson, the former two-time Mountain West All-Conference selection from the University of Utah, has averaged 15 points per game in Greece and 14 points per game in Israel, respectively. He started the 2007-08 season with Apollon Patras in the Greek first division where he averaged 15.1 ppg in 7 contests; he left Greece to secure a more stable situation with Maccabi Rishon Le-Zion in the Israel first division, where he finished the 2007 season averaging 14 ppg. He then re-signed with Le-Zion for the 2007-08 season. A 6’6 (1.98m), 210-pound (96kg) swingman (3/2), Markson is a superb athlete (40-inch vertical leap) with a strong basketball IQ and saavy. He’s a scorer, but plays a team game, working on both ends of the court. He can shoot the 3 (44% as a senior at Utah), but his forte is slashing to the bucket or creating his mid-range jumper. He’s got a long, wiry body (6’9 wingspan), with excellent lateral quickness to go with his explosive leaping ability. His representation contract with Court Side is his first ever formal contract with an agent/agency; while searching for new representation, Markson spent two months playing in Argentina for Libertad Sunchales, where he averaged 12 ppg in 22 minutes. He comes to Court Side, looking to fulfill his tremendous potential; Markson has the physical ability to play and succeed at the highest levels in Europe.
