.. NBA D-League debut season by having good performances early on. The current starter at the off guard position for Bakersfield Jam is confirming his status at a very early stage of the season. Despite a difficult start for the Jam, Jared Newson is one of the cornerstones to coach Will Voigt and therefore has build his team around Jared. During the first game of the season, against Reno Bighorns, Jared Newson didn't let his coach down. He scored 17 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists in 28 minutes. A couple of days later, versus Albuqueque, Jared kept his level of scoring with a significant 18 pts ( 7-9 from the field including a 3-3 from behind the arc), 4 rebounds in 34 minutes. In the most recent game it was tight against the Los Angeles Defenders. Jared helped his teammates with another performance of 18 pts 3 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 assist in 34 minutes.
