Wilson tops Charleroi
U.S. forward Darnell Wilson was responsible for 19 points..
.. (including 2 for 5 3-pointers) in the victory of his team Antwerp Giants against Spirou Basket Charleroi: 72-71 (30-34). The versatile forward played an important role for the Giants mostly in the second part of the extremely exciting game. The home team of head coach Eddy Casteels, who is also in charge of the Belgian national team, was not able to keep up with the current Belgian champion in the beginning of the game but was able to close the gap throughout the first half. In the 3rd quarter Antwerp Giants took the lead (3rd period: 49-47) and won the interesting "thriller" at the end : 72-71. Visiting Charleroi, which beat Real Madrid this past week in the Euroleague (67-49), lost their undefeated status in the Belgian league while Antwerp is ranked 4th now.
